Culiacán.- Una célula de pistoleros de los hermanos Beltrán Leyva fue quien asesinó a siete policías federales la noche del lunes en la colonia Las Vegas, reveló el Comisario General Rodolfo Cruz López, coordinador general de las fuerzas federales.
Además, el alto mando de la PF confirmó que uno de los cuatro agentes que resultaron heridos murió en el hospital donde era atendido, con lo que aumentó a ocho el número de policías muertos a raíz de la refriega.
Dijo que los otros tres agentes están en estado crítico.
Cruz López precisó que los agentes federales acribillados "fueron superados en número" de personas, quienes utilizaron armamento más potente que el utilizado por la corporación, por lo que ya se gestionan armas de mayor calibre para hacer frente a los grupos armados que operan en la ciudad.
Al ser interrogado sobre si se está ganando la guerra contra el crimen organizado en la entidad, el funcionario de la PF afirmó que sí, pues de lo contrario él ya estaría en su casa
